OK, so it is not the Garden of Eden, but it is my garden! I planted my first real garden this weekend. I have had an herb garden for over a year, and have attempted to plant pots of tomatoes in the past, but this is my first official in-the-ground garden! I planted several kind of tomatoes, squash, eggplant, and two kinds of peppers. I also added another basil plant to my herb garden. Want to come over for dinner n a month?

Swimming Shah
It has been a few days since Mike surprised me with Shah. He is a pretty good puppy! We have had a couple accidents (luckily on the stained concrete) and nothing has been destroyed- yet. The biggest problem is that Duke doesn't like him. He is uninterested in Shah. He won't get on the bed if Shah is up there first and he hates it when Shah tries to play with him. We are hoping that as Shah gets older, Duke will start to like him more.
We took them swimming the other day. Duke loves to swim, Shah, not so much.

New Addition
Yesterday was our anniversary, and Mike surprised me with a sweet present-- A PUPPY! Shah is a chocolate lab and we love him already. Duke loves him too- sorta. They get along well when Shah is being calm, but when he gets into puppy mode, Duke gets a bit grumpy. He is an old man after all! I am sure once Duke realizes that his new brother is staying, he will love him too.
