Blue Run

After this video was taken, I proceeded to make it down the mountain verrrrrrrrrrry slowly. I fell multiple times, but Mike was there to walk me through it all. He is a sweetheart!

Scream Central

We are back in Texas!!! The weather here is awful! Drizzly and cold. I hate this weather. Mike and I are getting back into the swing of things. As much as we love being on vacation, we do really love being at home. I will be uploading videos from our trip this week. We have some great ones! Here are two videos from our day of tubing with Lizzie.

Here is one of all three of us tubing. You get to hear my whiny voice begging Mike to hold on to me.

Toobin

My friend, Lizzie, came to visit us and keep me company while Mike is snowboarding. On Wednesday, we ate lunch, shopped, and then met up with Mike for drinks and dinner. Yesterday, we took the gondola up and went tubing. Lizzie and I were a bit scared at first, but had a blast!

This is the view up by the tubing spot. What a gorgeous sunset.

Beaver Creek

On Tuesday, Mike and I traveled to Beaver Creek. Mike snowboarded and I walked around town, took in the sights, and sat by a fire.

In the afternoon, Mike joined me by the fire.

It really was a gorgeous day.

Mountains are Blue

Mike and his friend Matt ventured up the mountain to a place called Blue Sky Basin. I was quite jealous that I could not venture up there with them. Only skiers/snowboarders are allowed up there. Since I am still recovering from my broken foot, I am not skiing this trip, and am not allowed up. :(

At this magical place, you can bring your own beer and grill your own meat. So, Matt filled up his backpack with some Coors Lights, chicken, and tortillas, and they made there way up there after a morning of snowboarding and skiing.

If you are a fan of Coors Light, then you know how important it is for the mountains to be blue. They were definitely blue up there.

In Hot Water

Today Mike and I took a trip down to Glenwood Springs to visit their natural hot springs. Despite the smell of sulfur (mmmmmmmm rotten eggs!) it was quite pleasant! They had two pools, one that was heated to 104 degrees and one that was 90 degrees. It was so nice to sit in the water and look at the mountains.

We were also lucky enough to have a gorgeous view on the way there.

Vail

Mike and I landed in Vail on Sunday are staying until February 7th.  Two weeks filled with snow!  I can't ski because of my foot, BUT I am officially walking with two real shoes.  Exciting!  Mike has been enjoying snowboarding and Duke loves playing in the snow.  He acts like a puppy!  I will update the pictures this week with our adventures.

Like my high-water ski pants?

Here we are at the dog park.
